A Package on New Years' Eve Day

I wanted our kids to be the first to know.  Here's how it went down, New Year's Eve Day 2012:

And then the parentals on both sides each got cards something like this on New Years' Day 2013:

We got to have fun calls & messages with our siblings New Years Day, too. 


And then we got to see more than just a blob in our ultrasound the very next day:

We told Mae & Amanda the moment they walked in the door on their return from Christmas with their family in CO.  They just might be more excited to hold the new baby than my own kids. ;)

We are all VERY excited.  It's been great fun telling family and friends so far.  Thank you all for your excitement, love & support, too. 

So here's some answers to the questions you might be asking:

• My due date is July 13th, 2013.  (Fun fact: it's also my brother Sam's birthday.)
• That means currently I'm at 18 weeks (of a total 40 weeks) right now.  Nearly half way through already!
• Both of my other kids were "late" (5 days and 7 days).
• We are definitely going to find out if it's a boy or girl. (I'm a planner.  I want to know!)
• My next ultrasound is in about a week.  Hopefully the baby will cooperate and show us if it's a boy or girl, so stay tuned.  (And leave a comment if you want to share your boy/girl prediction!)
• This pregnancy has been going just as well (& relatively easy) as the other two have been.  I'm really lucky for that.
• With soon to be three little kids, I'm not sure when I'll be back at work but will take as much maternity leave as possible this time around.  Luckily, my firm and team are very supportive and I don't have to decide until after the baby arrives.
• So far the plan is that Mae will still be here to help when the baby arrives, and I'm very grateful!
